Portuguese club Belenenses is exploring fresh backing through international sports investment vehicle APEX.

The president of Belenenses is pursuing an investment deal with foreign investment firm APEX to back the Portuguese club. APEX already holds active investments in Italian football club Venezia and Formula 1. The investment entity brings together a high-profile syndicate of international athletes, including Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, and Valtteri Bottas, Portuguese motorsport driver António Félix da Costa, professional tennis player Alexander Zverev, and elite cyclist Mark Cavendish.
