Peter Cullen, the celebrated voice actor who brought Autobot leader Optimus Prime to life across decades of television, film, and video games, has died at the age of 85. Cullen became a defining presence in pop culture beginning in the 1980s with the debut of the original animated series The Transformers. His deep, resonant delivery and compassionate portrayal gave the character an enduring moral authority, turning Optimus Prime into one of the most recognizable figures in modern animation. Over the course of a career spanning more than five decades, Cullen voiced numerous beloved characters in animation and film, including Eeyore in Disney's Winnie the Pooh franchise and the vocalisations for the titular creature in the 1987 film Predator.
