A Google software engineer based in Switzerland has been arrested over allegations of insider trading on the decentralized betting platform Polymarket. The engineer, Michele Spagnuolo, has denied any wrongdoing, stating that his actions amounted to standard gambling rather than illegal market manipulation. Spagnuolo contends that his wagering activity is entirely beyond the reach of United States law.
